Thanks for stopping by. Here is a little information about my interests and history in amateur radio. I took my novice test in Louisville, KY in 1983...then moved to South Carolina. About six months later I upgraded to general; then to advanced about five years later. I upgraded to extra in 1991 and got my current vanity call. I served many years in Air Force and Army MARS; I was the Sumter County EC during Hurricane Hugo and I have served for many years as a Red Cross Volunteer. I am now the DEC for area 5 in South Carolina and I am very active with SCHEART and Auxcomm as well as working with DHEC. I served for one term as secretary for the Sumter Amateur Radio Association and I just finished serving my fourth term as president. I hold memberships in ARRL, QCWA, 10-10 International, GERATOL and JOKERS Nets. I am active in HF, VHF, UHF as well as in D-Star and DMR digital radio.
